Rive Della Chiesa Prosecco Frizzante 8/28

Rive Della Chiesa Prosecco Frizzante 8/28
Treviso, Italy
crisp, green apple, honey

Rive Della Chiesa is the producer, Prosecco is the wine, and Frizzante refers to its sparkliness: more than still (Fermo), less than Spumante. Wine without a year is non-vintage (NV), meaning it contains grapes from multiple years. This is common of sparkling and dessert wines.

Like our previous Villa Jolanda, you'll taste and smell honey and green apple, and it's got just a bit of sweetness. However, this one is way better, with a crisp finish and more pleasant bubbles.

As it's gained popularity, Prosecco has taken on legal protections. Among these are that it has to be produced in certain parts of northeast Italy and that it must contain > 85% Glera grapes, which used to be called Prosecco grapes.
