Tour des Gendres 11/44

Tour des Gendres  11/44
Bergerac, France
fragrant, ripe fruit, balanced

Chateau Tour Des Gendres has an estate at Ribagnac, which is part of the Bergerac appellation of South-West France. Founder Luc de Conti set up the estate in 1981 and is incredibly humble about the impressive array of high quality of wines he has to offer. Luc manages 45 hectares of vineyards, and farms according to strict organic and biodynamic principals. ‘Le Classique’ is a wonderfully velvety Merlot and Malbec blend.

Tour des Gendres has an attractive opaque red-purple color, and instantly brings to mind intense aromas of fresh fruit. Soft and round on the palate with flavours of plums, red cherries and spices backed up by hints of vanilla and chocolate. This wine would be comparable for a guest looking for a fuller bodied wine.
