ISpring is upon us, in fact its right around the corner. We experienced this in small rations over the weekend but, we all know that was a glimmer of what is in store for us come SXSW!!
So over the next couple of weeks we will look to bring on staff to help with the increase in shifts for the spring and summer months. Obviously this is a process that has already started.
You should have already met the lovely Mariana Moreno. Mariana has moved to Austin via Oaxaca where she lived and learned the processes behind mezcal production. Originally from Boston, Mariana seems to have adapted well to the warmer climate and is excited to explore her new home in Austin, Texas.
Another addition to our staff is a familiar face - Ms. Erin Corrigan. Erin is a joy to have back on staff, not only for her beautiful and delicious pastries & pies but also her incredible sense of humor. Welcome back Erin!
In addition to new staff we will also see some transitional moves. The familiar faces of Nicole Cruz and Kendra Thompson will be seen behind the bar at Contigo in weeks to come. Not to worry server staff, both Nicole & Kendra will still be on the floor to help out when we come upon those 'crazy ass, when is this going to end, I need a shot and a beer immediately' kind of shifts!
Our newest hire in the Back of the House - Gabe Alvarado started with us this week as well. He will start training in Garde Manger this week. With his experienced back ground he will be a great addition to the kitchen crew. Please stop and introduce yourself when you have a moment.
As you all know, we are selective about our staff at Contigo. We aim to bring on not only qualified individuals but also people that show growth potential and are just down right fun to be around! It is not uncommon to hear guests say "it just seems like everyone likes working here and likes to work together". Not only is this an amazing compliment but its true. This - in itself is what makes Contigo a unique and wonderful environment, the people! Every day is certainly not peaches & cream but when its all said and done its generally a good time. So thank you - to you - the people that make Contigo!
Now let's kick SXSW and Spring in the balls!!
