Lone Pint - 667 Neighbor of the Beast 6/22

This is another selection from our friends at lone pint brewery in Magnolia Texas. 667 is their flagship IPA and has a beautiful hazy golden color. Although tons of grapefruit and citrus are present, the beer retains some piney and resiny notes that I more associate with a north eastern IPA.

Style: IPA

ABV: 6.6% (of course it is)

Description: Our American India Pale Ale uses bountiful amounts of American two row malted barley and a sprinkle of Maris Otter in combination with three bold whole cone American hops. The hops are individually transitioned throughout the boil to highlight each hop’s bittering and flavoring characteristics. Post-fermentation, 667 is dry hopped with vast amounts of the same three hops. The beer is named after a phrase someone scrawled into the wall of our favorite college watering hole.

Review:Foggy pale orange pour. Medium white head. Citrusy earthy hop aroma. Orange, dank, lemon, and lots of grapefruit hop notes. Medium malt breadiness. Flavor is more citrus and grapefruit. Solid malt backbone. Medium bitter.
