Ribera del Duero, Spain
wild berries, vanilla, silky
Though wine making has been in the De Santiago family since the 1900's it was not until April of 1997 until the winery Bodegas y ViƱedos Tamaral was established. They have now been tending vineyards and making wine for 4 generations.
Tamaral Roble is produced from vineyards located in Padilla de Duero, Pesquera de Duero. The Duero is in the more central area of Spain, just Northwest of Madrid. Duero produces mostly red wines under the grape varietal Tinto Fina. We know this more commonly as Tempranillo.
Alcohol: 14%
Oak: 4 months (American & French)
Varietal: Tinto Fina
Very lively in the nose, wild berries and hint at a background of vanilla from the barrel. The palate is expressive with good acidity and a pleasant finish.
