With a coppery color indicative of a traditional IPA, Upslope India Pale Ale has a complex malty character and is more well-balanced than most IPAs, but still offers that bitterness that IPA lovers seek. Complex malty character meets the bitter side.
Review: Taste is pretty much what you'd expect from an IPA. it's crisp, clean, and the first thing to really take hold is the bitterness. It's not a tongue scraper, enamel dissolving bitterness, but it is bright enough to let you know you're not drinking a Big 3 lager. However... that's about it. That moderate bitterness dissolves into the same biscuity malt from the aroma, then it all fades away. It's far from bad, it just fails to wow.
