Description: Named for the scenic ridge that runs between Blanco and Wimberley, Devil's Backbone is a Belgian-style tripel. Czech Saaz hops and Belgian yeast give this ale its distinctive flavor and aroma. Candy sugar made in-house at the brewery adds strength without increasing heaviness. The result is a deceptively strong, pale golden ale.
Review: Pours a slightly cloudy golden color with a small foamy head that lasts. Smells of banana, clove and yeast. Tastes of yeast, light hops and malt with some banana and clove. Light alcohol taste. Nice, clean aftertaste. The yeast really makes this beer. Very nice!
ABV: 8.1%
