'14 Two Mountain Riesling 9/34

'14 Two Mountain Riesling 9/34
Rattlesnake Hills, Washington
honeysuckle, pear, clean

Two Mountain Winery is owned by two brothers Matt & Patrick Rawn.  You could honestly say they fell into this business and are some of the most humbled wine makers I have had the pleasure to meet.
They are out of Washington state - Rattlesnake Hills which is within Yakima.  The eastern part of Washington is entirely different than the western areas in and around Seattle and Olympia.  It is much drier and desert like with hot summers and cold winters.  Many wineries have settled into this area and produce some of the best wines that we have in the states.  While all of the wines we tried from Two Mountain are delicious we decided to simply pick up their riesling for now.  The grapes are all estate grown.  You can truly tell how much care and passion goes into the wine process.  Its a great riesling with a nice amount of acidity that pairs beautifully with our current menu, charcuterie, chicken wings, sausage, okra...

Winemakers notes: Crisp, clean aromas of ripe white flesh peaches, apricots, honeysuckle and inklings of over-ripe pear, followed by wonderful flavors of melon, pomello, peaches, honey and apricots.
