Ommegang Cooperstown Ale 4.5 (10 oz)
Description: Lightly golden-straw hue with a lasting thick, white head. Aromas of sweet malt, floral with slight citrus are followed by delicate herbal notes. Faintly sweet giving way to mellow, lightly floral hop flavor and notes of banana and pears from our signature house yeast. Nicely balanced with a clean herbal-hopped finish makes this an enjoyably, quaffable ale.
Review: Bottle. Pours with a mostly clear golden yellow hued body with a large foamy/rocky white head that lasts. Aromas are estery with dried pear, floral hops, and strong peppery phenols. Mild citrus. Mild malt character but the nose is mostly yeast driven. Flavors are bready, toasted malt, dry, estery, mild fruity, pear, underripe banana. Medium bitterness with a slightly dry bitter balance. A touch oily yeast notes on the palate. High level of carbonation. Dry, easily drinkable. Pretty decent belgian blond
