'13 Château Haut-Bessac 8/32
Graves de Vayres, France
fresh, strawberry, elegant
This is a fresh, easy-drinking Bordeaux rosé with a good heft to it. It's more strawberry-oriented and bright up front than the Beaubois, and less mineral and spicy. It's from the same part of Bordeaux as our red Bordeaux, but I didn't find the characteristic fine-grained texture on my first tasting. Let's look for it.
This is a roughly equal-thirds blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot.
