Great Divide puts out a ton of great beers. This Brewery out of Denver Colorado is responsible for the Titan IPA and the Yeti Imperial Stout which is one of the tastiest beers out there.
Heres a video tour of the Brewery
Discription: Hibernation Ale is Colorado’s original strong ale -- it has been Great Divide’s winter seasonal each year since 1995. Hibernation’s massive flavors are so intense that it requires over three months of aging each year. This lengthy aging process gives Hibernation its revered malty richness, complex hop profile and hearty warming character, which is perfect right out of the bottle or cellared for longer periods of time.
Style: English-style Old Ale
Review: Very dark copper body, with a big, stable, creamy, dark beige head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, nuts, wood, some ash, dark and dried fruits and subtle hops.
Taste with about the same aromas, but with much more fruity and piney hops and more nuts.
Full, creamy mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes roasty, dry, wooden.
Quaffable! Full, roasty, but also very hoppy and overall very smooth. Like a lighter, more drinkable and less complex Barley Wine. Enjoyed this a lot!
ABV: 8.7%
